Here are three things I've found recently that I thought you might enjoy:
1) Sam Bass of Beacon Wealthcare wrote a fantastic post on the importance of process in selecting a financial planner. Sam is an excellent writer and luckily for us, he's also a fellow Wealthcare planning advocate. I always learn something new everytime I read Sam's work.
2) Speaking of process, Seth Godin recently wrote a concise, yet brillant post on rigor. Here's my favorite line: “Rigor is a focus on process. Paying attention to not just how you do things, but why.” A great lesson and reminder, per usual, from Seth.
3) Dr. Travis Bradberry, coauthor of Emotional Intelligence 2.0, wrote a great post on LinkedIn titled, “Signs You're Successful – Even If It Doesn't Feel Like It”. I especially enjoyed the statistics he shared: “A study by Strayer University found that 90% of Americans believe happiness is a bigger indicator of success than power, possessions, or prestige. Digging a little deeper, 67% defined success as “good relationships with friends and family,” and 60% said it is loving what you do for a living. Only 20% stated that monetary wealth determines success.”
Travis' post is full of insights and reminders we should all revisit from time to time.
If you'd like to discuss process, rigor, or your success, feel free to reach out. I look forward to having a conversation with you.
