How to Stop Feeling Overwhelmed

The information age provides us with many benefits but we also face information overload like never before.

You might have seen the image above floating around on social media. It's hilarious yet accurate. Being an engaged, mindful parent these days is exhausting and stress & anxiety are natural when you're faced with infinite information & unrealistic social expectations.

Here are three questions that will help you stop feeling overwhelmed and start enjoying your life.

1) Where are you at right now?

What do you like about your life right now? What do you dislike? What would you like to change about your life if you could?

Go ahead and write the answers down.

2) Where would you like to be?

Want to gain back more of your time? Time that can be spent doing what you want with who you want? Time spent with your family on a vacation overseas or enjoyed your own lake house? Write it down.

3) What's the first step I can take right now?

“You don't go from A to Z, you go from A to B.”

I heard the quote above recently when listening to a podcast.

We get stuck because we're not sure how to go from A to Z. The good news is you only have to go from A to B to get started.

You can't eliminate stress & anxiety from your life but you can manage it. You do so by taking the next step right in front of you and then doing it over and over and over again.

Answering three questions will start to provide the clarity you need to create the life you want.
